All Assio & Engvall knives are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for life. If you do have an issue with your Assio & Engvall knife, we’re happy to replace or fix it. Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds on KICKSTARTER rewards, but again, we will replace or fix any manufacturing issue. Rest assured, we check and re-check at every stage in the process, so the likelihood of any defects is extremely low.

All of our products have been thoroughly tested by experts and home users, and go through rigorous quality control checks at every step in the manufacturing process. Defects are possible, but very unlikely.

Although different natural color changes may occur, as we are using real wood in our handles.
Always keep your knife dry and clean!
Hand wash with warm soapy water. No abrasive sponges.
Never put your knife in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in water.
Dry your knife completely using an absorbent towel. We find paper towels work the best.
All stainless steel contains some level of carbon, which is important for sharpness and performance. Because of this, light hueing can develop on stainless steel if not cleaned and dried properly.
We recommend storing your knives on a magnetic wooden strip, keeping it protected in a saya, or storing them in your knife roll or wrap.
We recommend you to put some food grade oil on the handle every now and then, to keep it beautiful and not to dry out.
No. In fact, no high quality knife is dishwasher safe. Your dishwasher is a hurricane of scorching hot water and highly abrasive detergent - a perfect storm that can chip, dull, destroy, and warp even the strongest steel. Your dishwasher may also compromise the epoxy that helps hold together the knife handle. Our handles are made by wood, and is not recommended to be left in water.
We will do our best to be able to ship everywhere.
Although there might be problems shipping to countries on remote islands, at war or countries that does not have shipping agreements from Sweden.
If we can´t ship to your location, we will contact you and refund you.
Upon dispatch from our warehouse, you will receive an email containing your tracking number. Please be aware that, due to high demand, it may take up to 5 days for tracking information to become accessible. Orders made on Friday afternoon, over the weekend, or on holidays will be processed on the succeeding business day. Deliveries occur from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
Once we secure credit card authorization and verification, we promptly prepare and dispatch your order. Depending on our warehouse location and your shipping address, we carefully choose the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. We retain the right to select the carrier that best aligns with your shipping address.
From time to time, Assio & Engvall offers online promotions with codes for discounts or free shipping. You'll find out about these deals on our website, through emails, or other direct messages.
Here's how to use a code-based promotion:
- Put your items in the Shopping Cart.
- Enter your Coupon Code/Promotion Code in the "Coupon Code/Promotional Code (optional)" space at Checkout.
- Click "Apply Coupon."
Your eligible items' prices will drop, and the new total will show in your ORDER SUMMARY.
Remember these rules:
- Order during the promotion period to qualify.
- Past purchases can't get the discount.
- Some offers can't be combined.
- Your order might need to reach a specific dollar amount (shipping and taxes not included).
After applying the promotion, your order's prices and shipping charges will adjust, with the discount in your GRAND TOTAL. A few reminders:
